Operation Write Home is a very cool program.

Speaking of Tombow...I have a NEW favorite glue runner.
This runner ROCKS! I'll be selling them in my booth this year. They roll smooth, don't get clogged up AND you can use to the tip to get those tricky corners. AWESOME! Love Love Love it!

Yes, I'm Selling all my Copic Sketch Markers

Good morning stampers!

This cute little guy is on a wobble, so he is EXTRA cute today! He is from my new release "Love Bites".
As most of you know I attended the Winter CHA in California recently. I came home with a million new ideas and an empty wallet. (but sooooo worth it)
One of the "new" things I will be doing in 2013 is working with Spectrum Noir markers instead of Copic. (lower jaw drops) I know...I know....but look how cute my love bug is, he is colored with Spectrum markers.
Why? Here is my top 5 list of personal reasons:
1. Price - they average $5.00 per marker cheaper.
2. They offer one on one training, for FREE - I took both Copic classes last year, and walked away not feeling I could color better than when I walked in. How much were those classes...$200.00-$400.00 each?? If you want to be a certified Spectrum Noir colorist, you actually have to pass a coloring test. I am going to go through their certification. Then I can teach at the stamp shows..YAY!
3. I think I got caught up in the whole "COPIC" buzz. I'm not saying they are not good markers, cause they are awesome. Most of the booths at the stamp shows push Copic. I have had TONS of stampers tell me they would love to learn how to color but cannot afford $7.00+ per marker. Plus I don't have to worry about the crazy marker competition at my shows if I sell Spectrum.
4. I sat down for an hour and tried the Spectrum Noir markers at CHA and surprise surprise....I like them better. Hmmmm, weird right? I love how they blend, I feel like I have more color control, and I don't need 500 different colors to achieve the exact same outcome. That is much better for my wallet.
5. They have a super easy coloring number system. The lower the number, the lighter the color.

I will be doing some demos at the stamp shows this year. If you come to my booth, you can try them for yourself.

SO...all my copic markers are for sale. I am selling them for $3.75 for each, plus flat rate $2.50 shipping anywhere in the USA. If you buy 1, shipping is $2.50. If you buy 20, shipping is $2.50. That is one heck of a deal. All of the markers are in very good used condition. First come, first serve. The list will be updated daily during the week days only. I'll keep the list up until they are all sold.

There is a link on the left hand side of this blog, that will take you to the whole list.

Brand New Release Today!!

Good morning Stampers!

Today I am sharing a brand new release....

National Grandparents Day is celebrated on the first Sunday after Labor Day.
This year it will be on September 8th, 2013.

My Nana will be 91 in April.
She still bowls every week. Recently she bowled a whopping 210!
She is little and sweet and has always been very good to me. While she does have two other granddaughters, I always push for being the favorite!

She is my inspiration for this new stamp.
It is a single sentiment that fits on a 2x2 block.

Returned safe and sound fro CHA 2013

Good morning stampers!!

Whewwwww what a week it has been.
California was on the cold side, and reminded me of Wisconsin. What the heck??

Summary of the show: I was fortunate enough to make some wonderful new friends,
new contacts, and new partnerships. I found some new products to play with, learned a technique or two, and will be showing everything off next week.

Now...time to catch up on my sleep

a NEW RELEASE TODAY

Good Morning Stampers!

Valentine's Day is around the corner so I have a brand new release to share with you. I have been working for a couple of months on this set. I LOVE IT and hope you will too.

Please welcome CV126 Love Bites to my stamp line.....oooo ahhhhh!

This fun clear stamp set measures 4x6, retails for $15.00 and contains 3 images and 7 sentiments. The cards I created using this new set measure 5x5, so you can see that these new images are quite large. You will have fun coloring these in with your copics markers too, because I sure did!

TODAY ONLY, you can purchase this set and receive a FREE package of WOBBLES (a $6.00 value)with our DEAL OF THE DAY! The wobbles will work great with either of these images. If you don't know what wobbles are, you can check them out here. Wobbles are a must have for any card maker!

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Collecting Dust

Good Morning Stampers!

I have a ton of beads, a ton. I kept telling myself that I was going to create my own hat pins to use on my cards. Well, I bought all the stuff to make them....and 3 years later I finally did it! Thank you new year's resolution! I am sticking to it pretty good so far. I have so much great stuff in my studio, I need just get it out and use it.

These pins are super easy to create. Head over to the jewelry department at your local craft store. The pins you need are called Headpins/Hatpins. They do not have a pointed end, so they are not sharp.

Then you will need beads, any kind really. You will also need some clear drying adhesive. I used Glossy Accents by Inkssentials. (Ranger Product). Add a drop to the top of the pin, and add a bead. Add another drop, but to the bottom of the first bead this time. Add another bead. Then simply continue to do that until you have roughly 3-5 beads on the pin. Finish the pin with one last drop of Glossy Accents at the bottom of the last bead to stop the beads from falling off the pin. Let dry for about 15 minutes, or when liquid is clear and they are ready to use.

I needed a place to store them, so I created these little storage cards. I cut a piece of white cards stock 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". Then scored it on the 3 1/2" side at 1 1/4", 1 3/4" and 2 1/4".  Then I used a pinhole punch to create 5 spaces to hold the pins.

I am challenging you all to do the same. Create with something in your craft room that has been collecting dust.

I used Simply Said for these cards, and it is the DEAL OF THE DAY. This stamp set has 3 separate sentiments on it. Happy Birthday, Congratulations, and Get Well Soon. It is a MUST have for any card maker. This set is also a customer favorite. If you missed this set at one of our shows because it was sold out, here is your chance to get it. I recently got 100 of them in stock, so I shouldn't be sold out for a little while.

Best Wishes

 Good Morning Stampers...

It is another fine day here in Wisconsin....NOT! It is freeeezzzing here.
The only good thing about the cold is it gives me an excuse to play in my studio. YAY!

Today I am sharing a best wishes card. I embellished the ba-jeezes out of it.
I got flowers, swirls, borders, and jewels all mashed together.
The stamp set I used was You're Nuts, and is today's DEAL OF THE DAY.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Happy Camper Going to CHA

Good Morning Stampers!!

Is everyone back into the swing of things??
We took the tree down yesterday. My living room looks clean again.

I am a happy camper because one week from today Alicia and I will be at CHA in California!! This will be my first time to the winter CHA.  One whole week surrounded by crafting products, in much warmer weather than Wisconsin.  Does that sound like HEAVEN or what?? While Alicia is in the workshops creating with the top manufacturers, I'll be taking some business classes. I am scheduled for one workshop with Sizzix, and I am really looking forward to it.

My card today uses HAPPY CAMPER, and is the DEAL OF THE DAY.

I used an embossing folder to create the texture.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a creative day!

Creating Cards For Him

Good Morning Stampers!

Today I am sharing a card for the men in your life.
One of the most requests I receive from customers is to creating stamps for him.
So in 2013 you will be seeing some new releases that will help you create cards for him.
Everyone say YAY!!

The card I created for today is a fun one for him.
I used my very popular Hooked On Fishing stamp set, which is today's DEAL OF THE DAY.

Ice fishing is in full swing here in Wisconsin. Ron and I went out on Saturday with
the Christmas present santa brought me - Brand New ice fishing gear.
Ron sure had our shanty roasty toasty. I could have stayed out longer,
but we gave up after 4 hours with no bites.
We like to fish at night, and hear the lake actually making ice.
It is a very creepy, yet cool sound. Thanks to my new gear it was
the first time out that I did not get cold.

I used some of the stamps in the set to create the background.
I stamped and cut out the bobber and worm.
I LOVE MY LITTLE WORM, he is just so darn cute!
As part of my new year's resolution to use tools I haven't for awhile,
I dug out my Crop-a-Dile. Whewwww there was a little dust on it.
I forgot how much I like that darn thing.

The card base, a Bib Card minus the overlay, came from The Paper Cut.
They are a paper source in Appleton, WI.
The staff is super friendly, and they offer high quality card supplies.
We will be offering some of their line at our 2013 trade shows.

Remember to support small business owners.
Without your support, some of our favorite crafting supplies would be no more.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Ringing In 2013 with new products

Good Morning Stampers!

Welcome to a brand new year of paper crafting with Creative Vision.

Today I am sharing something new I am trying, Gelatos from Faber-Castell.

Nothing on the market today compares with Design Memory Craft Gelatos®. Compact acid-free pigment sticks glide on creamy smooth for vibrant color and coverage. All Gelatos® blend easily with or without water. Try this unique medium on paper, canvas, or wood!
I tried them on some Color Me Crazy Flowers from Petaloo for my post today. I LOVE how they blend with each other. I used just a little water so they would soak into the flower fibers. Up close they are SO pretty! I did a darker one, and then a lighter one and layered them as an embellishment. I also used similar Marvy colors to stipple the background of my card to match the flowers. WORKED PERFECT together!

This is the Gelato set I used. The picture does not do it justice, sorry. I think I am going to try to do a tutorial with these. Anyone interested in learning how they work?

The stamp I used is I'm Your Friend, and is today's DEAL OF THE DAY.

Thanks for visiting and have a creative day!
