Turtle Birthday

I know most of us don't think of turtles when we think of birthdays, but here's a cute little guy from the Surprise Party stamp set from Creative Clear Stamps. My mother's 60th birthday is right around the corner and I thought this would make a great invite to send out for her party.

It was very simple to make. Just make a 4.25 X 5.5 side fold card. Punch the corners with a decorative punch. Add your favorite coordinating background paper, also with corners punched. Stamp your sentiment on another piece of coordinating background paper and add to card. Stamp turtle image onto same background paper and cut image out. I added shading and color using watercolor pencils and a blender pen. Use foam tape/dots to raise turtle image up a bit and top it all off with a colorful coordinating bow. The invite information can be put on the inside of the card. The Surprise Party set includes "Date, Time, Location, etc" stamps as well as various other surprise party themed stamps to help make invitation-making just a touch easier.

Card Recipe:

Paper- Stampin' Up Pink Passion (pink cardstock); K&Company Citronella (background papers)

Thank You!
