Design Team Update, and a Card

Where is this week going? I can't believe it is Wednesday already! Tomorrow I will be wrapping up the design team call. I think I have found some creative people who will make a perfect addition to CCS! The Team will be announced soon, stay tuned for that!

Today I am sharing a card with 2 of my favorite new characters. I just love Hunny's raccoon friend. He is there for support because she needs it. Everyone say Awwwee...
I am still learning how to use my cropic markers. I did figure out that I need leave a little room before the line, so the ink doesn't soak past it. Who knew coloring was so technical??

This image is perfect for sending thoughts and prayers to friends and family. Whether it is to express sympathy, or to simply express your concern. Let someone know you care with "Time for Prayer".

Have a wonderful day!

  1. tooooo cute!!! have ordered one of these new sets...looking forward to getting it inky..
    SO EXCITED TO SEE WHO IS THE NEW DT !!!

    Laura, you may already know this - but your markers may be bleeding because of the cardstock. I use Neenahs or GinaK's luxury white with no bleeding problem - SU's Whisper White does ok too if there isnt too much blending...love Copics but their too expensive to lose any more ink than necessary KWIM {{{hugs}}}

  2. Hi Laura! What a cute card! I'm going to ink us this little guy tomorrow and use him for a First Communion card! Can't wait! What Linda said is usually the case with the markers. Only certain cardstocks will work well with your Copics. The other thing is your ink - I think that they recommend Memento inks. You might check with someone who knows more about them than I do! Hugs!

  3. Thanks for the info ladies! I do use cheap cardstock (well not cheap, but cheap enough) so that is probably why.

  4. Hey Laura, great looking card! Yep I concur with everything everyone else has said. You definitely need higher quality cardstock. Do you have a Copic Blender pen? That will fix any ooopsies! :o) You are off to a great start and can't wait to see who the new DT is :o)
