happy monday tutorial

hello everyone hope you had a fantastic mothers day!!
shelly here with todays tutorial. this is a really simple yet neat ( i think) technique called crayon resist. my pictures didnt turn out really great . i got this from scs so if needed you can just pop on over there and check this out.
supplies:
neutral cardstock
white crayon
dye ink i used SU bordering blue and yoyo yellow ( lightly as i was going for soft and subtle)
stamp  i used flowers from a time for prayer set and sentiment from hello hunny set.
coloring medium (optional)
sponges
paper towel
step 1
Stamp an image in black or other dark ink.( i used SU close to cocoa)
step 2
Color image with desired ( this is optional) i used a stamp marker on mine.
step 3
Trim image to finished size
step 4
Apply white crayon to any area that should remain white.
If you colored your image, apply crayon over all colored areas. It will keep the ink off. i outlined my image with the white crayon also
step 5
sponge over your image with dye ink continue until your entire piece of cardstock is colored to your liking
step 6
now take your paper towel and buff over your image. this will take the ink off your crayon mark.
thats it.. easy easy ! i love the look .

after i buffed off the color from my image. its subtle yet looks much better in the real. i just dont have good lighting for pictures today. ( i added stickles to the flower centers after i buffed the entire image)

so i hope ive inspired you to try this i think youll really love the look too:)
have a great rest of day!
