Tuesdays with Jenn

When I was a kid my mom used to leave secret notes in my lunch.  I would always tuck them away for later.  I still have most all of them.  This set (True Love) is perfect for stamping little notes for the kidos ( or your honey) lunch.  Simple with a little ribbon trim.

Hope this inspires you to spruce up the lunch pales!

**Tuesdays with Jenn**

Good morning!  I just have to say that I am so overwhelmed with how fast this year is clipping along.  My mom always said that once I have a baby, the years speed by and before you know it your baby is grown and gone.  I am now a believer!!!  Today I thought I would do one last Valentine's Day creation.  I so love the colors of Love.  They are my favorite!!  I went all out and used most all of the stamps included in the True Love set.  There were a few that I had used in my first post that I decided to leave out.

Here is a technique (that I like to think is named after me) "Jenny's Coat".  I took the stamps and made my pattern on a giant acrylic block.  I inked them with Versa Mark and stamped a tan piece of cardstock.  You can actually do this on patterned paper....especially if you have a large stamp that covers a fair amount.  I then used clear embossing poweder and embossed my stamped sentiments.  After I  heat embossed the images, I used Memento ink and rubbed it all over my piece of embossed cardstock....get ready it is messy!!!  After I achieved the color saturation I desired, I took a clean cloth and rubbed over the embossed area.  There you have it...a really unique look.  Hope you like my card and I hope you will try out this technique!

Hope you like my card!

My Soul MATE!

Hello Gals!
How is everyone on this bright and beautiful MONDAY Morning! hehe!

Well, I love technology and the Internet, but being on again off again ALL weekend was not my idea of fun! I could not even preloaded this post or any others! GRRR

Enough of my whinny self! Onto my card.

I made this card for my sweet hubby who will be leaving out of town again next week, and I am so gonna miss him! I don't tell him enough how much I really appreciate all he does and how hard he works, so I thought this card would be spot on!

The stamps are from the Creative Clear Stamps set called True Love. I used a little bling, a Martha Stewart Border punch, stamped on my glue pad, embossed with ZING red embossing powder and added punched hearts with some red and polka dot ribbon. I think he will love it!

Have a super day!

A bit LATE! But TRUE LOVE anyway!

Good Monday morning stampers!

OH MY GOODNESS! I had this post ready to go, yet failed to get it finished up, and actually schedule it! So sorry! It is Monday...maybe you can forgive me...:-)

This is the little card I created for my Monday post here on CCS. I did this one for my daughter who just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. I am sending it to her and her Fiancee with a little bag of bath goodies. Just wanted her to know I am thinking about her...(and ALL the wedding plans! ha!) Thank goodness its not till July 2011! WHEW!

I used CCS stamp set "TRUE LOVE", stamped the background on the Pomegranate, glazed random striped Bazzill, with a black card base and Kraft from PTI.

Enjoy your week!

Kisses and Hugs

This is a quick card I put together using the stamp set True Love. I wanted to match up the designer paper with the inks so used Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink ink as well as Regal Rose cardstock for the base. I'm not exactly sure what the designer paper is...it was from my Secret Sister and it has great texture to it. I punched along the bottom of the dp with a Fiskars border punch.

I love the little heart that dots the "i" in the word Kisses.  Be sure and check this set out as it is on sale this month.  I hope you have a great day!!

True Love

True Love is such a fun set for that special someone in your life!   For this card, I used Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White.  I think it is a nice romantic color scheme.  The sentiment was stamped with Memento Black and I used Vivid Brick ink for the rest of the card. I will confess to a slight smudge of ink... so covered it with a heart brad. Honestly, sometimes you just have to improvise!
Have a great day!
