I want to say thank you to all who played in our last challenge. Hopefully you all will find inspiration this week. It was so much fun to see every one's creations. OK so for the details:

This challenge is about using two different designer papers on your project. I wanted to go a little easier on you guys if your week was as crazy as mine.

I used two different stamp sets for my project: Let it Snow and Holiday Sentiments. This is my take on the easel card that have been out there. I used a 12x12 size of Kraft paper. This is the front of the card when it is all folded together. I used 2 different glittery design papers that I have been hoarding from my minds eye.

This is the card completely open. I used one of the design papers to paper piece the tree. I thought it looked like ornaments.

This is my version of the easel fold. here it just sits open. This was really easy to make.

OK now for the fun stuff! We want you to play along! Get some inspiration and show us your creativity!!! Of course their are rules. You must be a Creative Clear Stamps follower (super easy! I think this snowman is my favorite Christmas image EVER.....yes I said EVER :) I have used him on sooooo many thing so far and I just keep reaching for this set! It is from the Let it Snow Set. The sentiment is from Holiday Sentiments. I was trying to make an elegant Christmas card and it was really hard to get a good photograph.

November Already!

Can you believe it's November already? I can't. I mean, wasn't it just Summer? I thought I had lots of time to start working on my holiday cards. Really. Is anyone else in the same boat?

I love using this cute little holiday set. There are so many different card designs you can make from it and the sentiments make it really easy. If you're going to purchase just one set this year, make it this one!

Hope this helps to inspire your holiday card making. Have a great day!

Creative Clear~Challenge~Tutorial

Winner of CCS4 Creative Buttons using random.org was #5 Julie.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week. I want to say thank you to all who played in our last challenge. We had a few more players! Yea that makes me sooooo happy! Hopefully you all will find inspiration this week. It was so much fun to see every one's creations. OK so for the details:

This challenge is ALL about Something clear.
This could be acetate, clear buttons, clear baubles......maybe even clear embossing powder. Just keep it clear! Let your creativity flow! For my sample I am also going to show a tutorial for a quick and easy shaker card.

  • Gather your materials. For this project I used:
    Sage Shadow Card Base
    5 1/8 x 3 7/8 Bashful Blue Base
    5 x 3 3/4 Design Paper
Glitter (I used Martha Stewart glitter flakes)
3M Mounting tape on a roll
    Acetate or other clear sheet.

Let it Snow Stamp Set was used

  • Use adhesive to put your design paper to your 2nd base.
  • Use 1 3/8 Punch to cut through your main base.
  • Adhere acetate sheet to back so the clear sheet will now create a window.
  • Stamp your image and color if needed.
  • Put 3M tape all around image.
  • Pour glitter into the middle of all the mounting tape (on top of your image)
  • Lay the base with the clear window sheet over your image and push down so there will be no cracks for the glitter to escape.
  • Place mounting tape or pop up dots around the rest of the base and adhere to your card base.
  • Ta Da You're done! Now decorate as you please

Tip: If you are planning on stamping your sentiment directly onto the base with the window….Stamp that before you place mounting tape on it. Also, if your like me and horrible at having neat mounting tape application, use a paper glue like zip dry and fill the cracks. It really works and it dries super fast.

OK now for the fun stuff! We want you to play along! Get some inspiration and show us your creativity!!! Of course their are rules. You must be a Creative Clear Stamps follower (super easy! In the side bar click follow) And of course you will have a chance to shine. Post your creation using the mr. widget below. You don't have to use Creative Clear Stamps but of course it is always a bonus if you do! You have until Sunday Night 11/08/09 at 8pm cst (9pm eastern, 6pm pacific). The prize each week will be a "CCS Challenge Winner" Badge to display on your blog and a personal discount code of 10% off your next CCS store purchase.Make sure you use CCS5 when you post your creation on splitcoast! Don't forget to display your winning badge so you can be in the running for a guest designer spot!

Season's Greetings

Hi, it's Jennie here and today I want to share a holiday card I made using two Creative Clear Stamp sets. I used the tree from Let It Snow and the sentiment is from the set Holiday Sentiments (which I used to create the background). Paper piecing is a favorite technique of mine and I used the designer paper from the Basic Grey June Bug 6x6 pad. This green pattern is perfect for the Christmas trees! Since this week the creative challenge for Creative Clear Stamps is buttons...I added a button to the center of my plaid bow..and of course I had to add a bit of snow with Polar White Flower Soft.

I hope you enjoyed what I had to share today and now for the big FUN news...TOMORROW we are having a Blog Hop and with that comes 5 chances at blog candy, Woo~Hoo!!! Super excited about this so be sure and check out my personal blog tomorrow as well as the rest of the Design Team! Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

Card Deets:

Creative Texture~~Challenge~~

Hi all! Today is the day for our first challenge ever! Are you as excited as I am? OK so for the details:

This challenge is ALL about texture.

Give your card that little something extra. This could be in the form of fabric, embossing, distressing, etc. You just want to be able to "see" the texture. I made two different project with this showing the new holiday sets. This used Holiday Sentiments.

I wanted to try to make different kinds of cards and I have this great design paper that is embossed with glitter. I made regular A2 sized cards backs (4.25x5.5) and I used adhesive to put down the strip of design paper and then placed the die over the card and was able to cut through the folded cardstock. I now have mini Christmas note cards and this will make the perfect bulk thank you gifts or if you have a lot of cards to send out you bulk produce this project and make a lot of cards fast.

The above card uses turquoise. I love different color Christmas cards! They are always so unique. This card is pretty shimmery in real life but of course you can not see in the picture.

The above card Is embossed around the edges and the Christmas trees are also glittery and embossed as well. These cards were fun to make and I am thinking of making a lot of these to include with Christmas gifts.

OK now for the fun stuff! We want you to play along! Get some inspiration and show us your creativity!!! Of course their are rules. You must be a Creative Clear Stamps follower (super easy! Just click follow in the side bar) And of course you will have a chance to shine. Post your creation using the mr. widget below. You don't have to use Creative Clear Stamps for the first one but of course it is always a bonus if you do! You have until Sunday Night at 8pm cst (9pm eastern, 6pm pacific). Make sure you use CCS1 when you post your creation splitcoast!

I want to know what you would like to see as challenges! Feel free to leave a post with suggestions! Enjoy!
