Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week. I want to say thank you to all who played in our last challenge. Hopefully you all will find inspiration this week. It was so much fun to see every one's creations. OK so for the details:

This challenge is about being thankful. With Thanksgiving here in the US this Thursday I thought it would be appropriate to be thankful for our crafting stuff. So the challenge is: What tool or embellishment are you MOST thankful for and that will be the predominant focus of your card. (Paper cutter, any type of adhesive, and any type of paper do not count) If you elect to be thankful to ribbon you may only use ribbon (no brads, baubles, glitter, etc.) but you may use any and all tools you would like. If you elect to be thankful to your cuttlebug you may ONLY use your cuttle bug (No big bite, no punches, no other accessories that can be used with any other tools) but you may use all the embellishments you would like. Make sure to put down what tool/embellishment you are using and why you are most thankful for it! Whew hope that wasn't too confusing :)

I used An Extra Little Blessing for my project. I thought it would be appropriate for the holiday this week. I used the pillow box die to make a place card for the place setting for Thanksgiving. I have this pretty fall colored ribbon wrapped around the pillow box. I am most thankful for my cuttlebug cause it allows me to do and try so many things and it is so easy to use. It is also the "first" major tool purchase I made for myself when I first started stamping so I have a very big soft spot for my lil bug.

Here are the little slips of paper I made for everyone to write down the things they are most grateful for. I thought as a family this would be nice to have everyone write them down and put them in the pillow box. We will pass the box around and randomly draw one to read and share as a family.

Hostess with Mostess

Hello!  It is Jennie and I am here to share a card I made using a Sentiment Single.   These sentiments are only $3 each and there are a lot of fun, quirky, sweet and sappy sentiments for a quick card or a fun saying for the inside of your card.  Hostess with Mostess  is the perfect sentiment to use to create a project for a friend who is hostessing an event. I made this using last week's CCS color challenge (Ruby Red, Kraft and Creamy Caramel). I used Versamark and Clear Embossing powder to make the sentiment pop and sponged over it with Creamy Caramel. I wanted to keep this very CAS and think I managed to. Sometimes when you don't have a lot of time to design a card, know that a little is sometimes all you need :o)

I don't know about you but stamping time is not quite as abundant as it was a week ago. My brain is whirling with Thanksgiving plans, Christmas gifts and the fact I need to *START* on my Christmas cards, LOL!

This challenge is ALL about Elegance.

Think Black tie and evening gowns. That means you may use black, white, shades of grey and silver but absolutely NO other color. I used Family of strength.

I used basic black cardstock and some glittery design paper I have been hoarding. A little bit of ribbon and done. These are great when you need a with sympathy card, get well, or thinking of you. They can be mass produced and that way you can always have them on hand.

You Know You're Getting Old...

The Sentiment Singles line of stamps from Creative Clear Stamps are perfect for creating your own style of birthday cards. There are so many sentiments to choose from that you can create you very own sassy card for just about anyone on your birthday list. I made this one using You Are Old When on the outside....

and Huff and Puff on the inside. I used some Basic Grey paper and Blue Bayou cardstock.

The sentiments were cut and embossed using Nesties and the centers were sponged with Soft Sky. I have this card set aside for a friend who is getting another year older and none to happy about it :o) Age gets us all...and if it didn't we'd be dead! So really no worries :o)

End of the road...

This is my last post as a member of the design team.  It's been a blast but it's time to move on.  The new design team starts October 1st and I'm looking forward to their work.  Time got away from me this month, so here are my final projects for September.

A hug fits

I had to take a stamp break today and used one of my sentiment singles, A Hug Fits. Maybe you already know this, but I love sentiment singles!

More sentiment singles

I just have a few more cards to share with the Sentiment Singles. Aren't they so fun? :)

This one is is just a fun little diddly. I tried to create a "romantic" look. Scored diagonals onto the cardstock with my scor-pal and added some gems onto the areas where the scor lines crossed. Simple and elegant.

Next up is a fun quilt inspired card. :) I punched squares out and laid them out in a quilt. Added some fun faux stitching with a white gel pen. So simple and yet so fun!

And last but not least, a fun little kid card. Nice bright colors and just some fun patterns as well!

Nappy Hour

I made this card using a sketch from last week. This sentiment from the Sentiment Singles line of Creative Vision just cracks me up!  Again this time I used two different colors of ink which is easy to do with the Stampin' Spots.  Just so you know I have some blog candy over on my blog if you are interested...and who doesn't love candy???  It is some brand new Sentiment Singles as well as some other fun goodies :o)  You can find my blog post HERE with all of the details.

Motherhood

This was a quick card I put together using the Motherhood stamp from the Sentiment Singles line at Creative Vision. I used the new Basic Grey Lemonade 6x6 pad. I added a few matching buttons along the bottom right to tie it all together. I just love these sweet sentiment stamps from Creative Vision.  They make just a delightful card for any occasion! Extra Little Blessing

Today I have a card made with another clear stamp from the Sentiment Singles line. This is for a friend of mine who is expecting another little one (her 7th!!!) and they know it will be a little boy. The sentiment Little Blessing (which is on sale for only $4.00) was stamped using Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder and heavily sponged to make the sentiment POP! The designer paper is from the Making Memories Chloe's Closet line that I found real cheap :o) The buttons were threaded with white organdy ribbon and knotted through the holes. This was a very quick card to make and the little saying is just perfect for her new little bundle coming....

You Hang On

This is a card that came together quickly using SU's Tall Tales pattern paper and the Sentiment Single, You Hang On. I love cards that are quick and cute. I used a round ribbon ring and adhered the ribbon on either side using Scor Tape. I like this ribbon treatment and will play around with variations on it.

You know...

I created this card using two stamps from the Sentiment Singles line of stamps from Creative Vision. They work perfectly together and this will be a great card for just about anyone! I really like the large font and the inside just cracks me up....

You Huff and Puff and...

Isn't this a darling sentiment! It's called Huff and Puff and is a great size. This was a super quick card to put together too. The finished size is 3.5 x 5.5 and I made the candles with some scraps of pattern paper I had hanging around. I went with a black card so the bright pink elements would really pop.

I have had a blast working with the sentiment singles this month and I have one more zinger up my sleeve to show you soon so check back often.

Sending Love

The sentiment singles are so easy and fun to use! You can do so many things with them (as you've already seen on this blog!).

For this one, I wanted to create a fun homey look. This sentiment single called Sending Love can be used for sympathy cards and just for "Thinking of You" cards as well.

Do you think this is true?

I love the zingy Sentiment Singles! This one is called Going Bra-less. I used a Labels 1 Nestabilitie to shape the end of this card and used some new October Afternoon pattern paper to give it that vintage feel. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black, which is the best true black in my opinion. I chose to give the sentiment circle a little scallop apron just to do something a little different.

Let your hopes and dreams

When I was little, we used to have a little butterfly net that we'd try to catch these gorgeous creatures with. We never got any. Perhaps we were too impatient. Although my mom managed to catch them for us with no net -- just her hands... magic.

No worries -- even though I can't catch real butterflies, I can catch paper ones! :) They don't move! Ok, they do slip into the crooks and cranies of my craft area but that's another story!

I'm really loving these sentiment singles. They're such a great size and there's so much you can do with them. And there's a great assortment of funny ones and more serious ones -- perfect for all occasions.

On this card I chose to use some clear embossing power on it. So pretty. With the sentiments, the card almost makes itself. I just added some patterned paper and ribbon and the card was made -- magic!

You're only as old as you feel...

That's the truth! I love this sentiment single. It appeals to my sense of humor, as do several of the other sentiment singles. This single is called Feeling Old and check out the other singles while you're at it! Some are hilarious and you won't find sentiments like this just anywhere!

Nappy Hour

I have another card to share using a sentiment from the Sentiment Singles line of stamps from Creative Vision. I think this saying (Nappy Hour) is so funny and for me, it is so true. I am most creative when my 16 month old goes down for his nap :o) Somehow I can clean, cook, and fold laundry, but stamp time is harder to come by when he is underfoot.  Nappy Hour is sure to get a lot of use in my personal stamping...I can see some cute scrapbook layouts using this fun stamp with  pictures of my little one enjoying a snooze!
