Congrats Set

How about another fun project with Star Alphabet? :-) I've shown you some fun ways you can use it already and today I wanted to play around with the placement of alphabet letters.

Since the alphabet is composed of different sized letters, I used it to my advantage and grouped "grats" together. By simply grouping letters differently, you can create a whole different look with the same stamp set! Now isn't that fun? :D

I made a fun little card and a mini little oragami box to hold some post-it notes for a graduate. But you could really use this for anything. :)

Hope you all are having a great week and I can't wait to show you my next project soon!

U ROCK!

We had a huge thunderstorm last week when I was out of town and ever since, our internet has been screwy! So I haven't had a chance to share my fun creations! :)

This one is a fun little didly I made with the Stars Alphabet set again. It's such a fun set to use!

I stamped "U ROCK" in red and then randomly used the other letters to stamp in black around it. I think it makes for a fun effect, don't you?

The great thing about alphabet sets is that you can really use them to stamp just about any saying you want. Star Alphabet happens to be the perfect size for major sentiments and sayings on cards, scrapbook pages, and any other project you might have!

Hope everyone's have a great weekend and that you get some stamping in!

Summer time!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm totally in the mood for summer! :) So this little piggie from Bike Week just screamed summer time to me! I know that's not what Laura intended for this set to be about (heh just look at the name!) But that's what makes these sets so versatile! :)

I figured I've shown a lot of non-card items that it was high time I show a card! So here we go! I thought this piggie would make an adorable summer pool party invite or just a fun card to give to someone!

I colored her in with my fave summer colors - had to give her a yellow polka dotted bikini! And since her bikini had some stars on it, I thought it would be PERFECT with Star Alphabet! I love that you can make your own fun sentiments with alphabet stamps and you can arrange them anyways you please! I staggered it a little for a fun effect!

Since I was going for a beach theme, I found that cork looked a little like sand! Isn't that just so fun? I also wanted to create some "water" with my sand so I embossed my blue paper and cute around the swirls for some waves. I created a little pocket to stick my sentiment in and wa la!

Love to hear what you think and what your favorite summer activities are!

Red White and Blue Stars!

Hey everyone! With July coming up soon, it usually means one thing! Picnics and fireworks - at least here in the States! I wanted to do a fun little 4th of July project (and I know that you can really change this to be whatever you want -- graduations, promotions, whatever!)

I found that the O in the Stars Alphabet made a great pattern as well. I stamped that repeatedly on my acrylic piece and my red cardstock. If you take a closer look at the card, you'll also see that I have just stars... simply masked the O out and used just the star in the middle. Easy peasy! Makes this alphabet set super versatile! I know since everyone has tight budgets these days, versatility is key!

Ok, so I made my own little "test tube". Super easy! Just stamp your acrylic (really whatever paper you want - I just think acrylic is fun fun fun!) with whatever designs you so please and roll into a tube of sorts. Get your glue dots ready and seal the edges so that it stays in a tube form. Create fun little tops and bottoms with your paper and ta da! You can stuff it with all sorts of candies and goodies! Tied the top with a little ribbon and other fun embellishments.

I didn't stuff mine since the hubster ate all my red candies before this shot and I haven't had time to get to the store - but I also thought leaving it empty would give you the true view of the sides as well.

Leave a comment and let me know what crafty things you have in place for 4th of July! (Or Canada Day if you're Candian or tell me about your country's national holidays! I love hearing about it!)

My Red, White, and Blue Challenge Sample

It is a beautiful weekend in Wisconsin, and where am I? In my craftroom of course! This is my challenge sample, a kind of 4th of July party invitation. (at least that was what I was going for)

For this project I used my Creative Clear Stamp sets "Star Alphabet", "Surprise Party", and "Borders". The paper is from DCWV Inc, and the ink is Stampabilities. I also used some misc. red stripe and blue ribbon I found loose in my ribbon drawer. I tried to layer as much as I could while doing the red, white, and blue thing.

So there you go, now it is your turn! Have fun with this one!
